Nicole has seen her fair share of doctors these past 3 weeks that is for sure; Nicole has had many tests done… not seeing just one type of doctor, but various doctors who were all specialists in their respective fields; each one doing their specialized tests and checking every part of Nicole. They gave their permission several days ago for Nicole to head back… but we did not want to be impetuous so we asked for extra tests and consultations. Well, the doctors gave their “approval” and we are heading back to Vanuatu!
We are excited and relieved, but also knowing just three weeks ago Nicole started getting sick, and two weeks ago she was medevac’d. We have no more tests to do… no more results to wait for… no more doctors to see… so with prayer and talking things through with our Pastor, we are heading back to Vanuatu!
With all that being said, we are going to integrate back into ministry very slowly. We understand that our mission is not for a week, a month, or even a couple of years; we are in it for the long haul. Ministry is not a sprint but a marathon, so we will “train” for the next two or three weeks and then jump back slowly into ministry as God allows and as He provides wisdom.
Special thanks to Frazer Graham, he did a bunch of work for us and helped a lot with our container that just arrived, along with Ishmael Robert and Jeremy Pinero. We are super thankful for good friends who helped in various ways while we had to take care of Nicole’s medical emergency.
Please continue to pray for us as we transition, we need much prayer for wisdom and discernment to integrate Nicole back into ministry. Thank you so much for your love, prayer and support. We know prayer moves the Sovereignty of God, and Nicole’s speedy recovery is by God’s power and His Saints faithfulness to us.
Your feet to the unreached, Seth and Nicole Stokes.
