“And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide…” -Luke 9:4
Yes, we are on the road again. This trip will be the longest trip in one succession we have taken to date. We began our trip by heading from Pittsburgh to our first stop in Ohio. Next, we traveled to Michigan for a 3-week tour. With one week down, we have 2 and a half more to go until we head back to PA in time for our home church’s missions conference. Immediately after that, we will head to New Jersey to visit several other churches and attend another missions conference. Following that, we will drive to Illinois for another conference and will be making stops at other churches. We might be home for Thanksgiving? Only to have more speaking engagements already booked in December and January in the PA area and Michigan areas. Please pray with us that each one of these “visits” would represent not just possible prayer and financial support, but also that it provides an opportunity for us to connect with God’s people; to encourage, bless, and have genuine fellowship.
This week has begun a new phase in our lives; we are officially doing “deputation” (fund-raising). In this first week of our tour we have stayed in a different bed each night, and yes that is 7 beds in 7 nights. We stayed at a “prophets chamber” in Ohio and thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship with the pastoral staff and the people who hosted us. We had a great time; ate hamburgers and hot dogs off the grill, played in a corn-hole tournament, and rejoiced with the church as they had a special emphasis during their service, focusing on what God has done in their church with adding many new members. That meeting led to an invite to their missions conference next year! Praise God. Then we had an opportunity to share with a church in Michigan and help them hand out invitations to their open house TODAY (9-22). Please pray that the church can connect with the community and have a good turn out so that souls can be saved and our Lord can be glorified. We technically stayed in an eighth bed for several hours, that bed was our car 🙂 We camped out one night and Nicole was woken up in the early morning to our neighbors fighting…they were hissing and sounded pretty angry at one another, they were raccoons. I did manage to surprise Nicole one day; we stayed at a bed and breakfast (our first) as a belated anniversary gift. We have been busy and did not have the time to celebrate it, we celebrate events when we can and it does not have to be on that day, what a good thing! Our anniversary was about 2 months ago 🙂
We had the opportunity to stay with a good friend for a day. We will start heading towards upper Michigan to be a part of a missions conference. We will stay with church members; go camping, stay at two different bible institutes and wherever else we can during this trip. We still have many more churches to visit before we go back to PA. We are doing our best to grow closer together by studying the Word more with one another, and praying as a couple more so that we can sharpen one another. We want to use this phase of life (whether it takes 6 months or 18 to raise our support, only God knows) to strengthen our marriage so we can be a stronger team by the time we get to the field. Please pray for us that we can be sensitive to the Spirit and His leading with churches and individuals, pray that we can raise our support on God’s timing and that we can use that time for His eternal praise and glory. Continue to pray for our car that it would not wear out until we head to the field like the Israelites clothing while they wandered in the wilderness. Also, please pray for the health of the indigenous people in PNG that God would preserve them until they receive missionaries so that they can hear God’s glorious Gospel of salvation before they die and go to an eternal state of torment. At the end of the day, this is why we are doing what we are doing, the BIG picture…that the eternal state of souls would be altered, from going to an eternal state of torment to one that is filled with everlasting Joy in having a relationship with our Lord and God.

This part is only for those who like being a part of “support projects”.
We will need to purchase/have purchased some of these items, this is to allow those whom love to be a part of projects an opportunity to be involved in our ministry.
Within the next month or so we will need to purchase; tires, 2-4 brakes and 2-4 rotors (we will know better one we do a maintenance check in less than a month). This is just a routine maintenance purchase and hopefully the last one for our car before we head over seas. ($300-400)
Also, in our traveling we came across some really good deals at an outlet. We will need to have these items for tribal living such as; rain jackets, hiking back packs, etc. and we found some of those items for literally half off! So we went ahead and purchased them. (2 back packs and 2 rain jackets =$291)
If you would like to be a part of any of these projects please contact us, thank you!
